Stoneleigh-Burnham School Launches Empowerment, Ethical Global Citizenship, and Voice (EEV) Center

GREENFIELD, MA. Stoneleigh-Burnham School (SBS) launched the Empowerment, Ethical Global Citizenship,
and Voice (EEV) Center on March 1st, the first day of Women’s History Month.

With a 155-year legacy, the launch of the EEV Center at Stoneleigh-Burnham will ensure that students from across
the country and around the world are empowered, ethical global citizens— secure in the knowledge that their voices
will be heard. The EEV Center will serve to unite key programs that deliver on SBS’s mission in an effort to drive
impactful change.

Opportunities such as the Wingspan Program (a dedicated micro term providing students and teachers with
interdisciplinary, experiential, and project-based learning opportunities), the Emerson Scholars Program (an in-depth
research opportunity for students), Global Education (continuing to deliver as well as expand upon the International
Baccalaureate® curriculum and framework as well as a return to immersive trips abroad), School Exchanges &
Partnerships (connecting with girls schools in the US and overseas), a robust Public Speaking & Debate program
that includes a dynamic summer session for students in Grades 7 - 12, and the EEV Institute for Teachers (a
professional development opportunity created by and for teachers) will focus on student engagement and faculty
development, fostering a well-rounded educational experience for all.

The SBS community shares in the belief that empowerment, ethical global citizenship, and voice are critical
components of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Committed to cultivating an environment where every student is
valued, respected, and empowered, the community thrives on nurturing creativity, fostering a sense of belonging,
and encouraging each student to find their unique voice. Learn more at sbschool.org/EEV.
