Biography

Caitlin is an accomplished violinist, lover of music and history, and passionate teacher. She has taught music and strings at the Virginia Beach Friends School and at The Tatnall School. She earned her BA in Music from Mount Holyoke College and her MAs in Music and Music Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. She has been lucky enough to travel the world to perform and study music from Cusco, Peru, where she played goats’ hooves and cowrie shells with the local children, to the Conservatory of Vienna, where she performed as a soloist in 18th century concert halls. She’s excited to teach IB Music, Music 7, Choir, Chamber, and Octet this year. Caitlin loves to teach, but she loves to learn from her students even more! She lives on campus as a houseparent with her gecko, Bel Canto.
