Welcome to Stoneleigh-Burnham School!

As SBS is entering its 152nd year educating girls, I am honored to be the Head of School and to share with you my excitement about this passionate and vibrant community.

The power of girls’ education is clear at Stoneleigh-Burnham. It is a place where students and faculty speak about trusting and meaningful relationships, where young women build confidence and leadership skills, and where the entire community supports the girls’ inherent strengths, while encouraging them to build new ones.

Attracting girls from around the Pioneer Valley and from more than a dozen countries around the world, Stoneleigh-Burnham has developed an inclusive and multi-cultural community which supports thoughtful discourse and sharing among cultures. In this, the SBS students develop both their own voices and their deep respect for the voices of others. The culture truly supports the individual and the collective.

At Stoneleigh-Burnham, our students graduate confident in their ability to contribute meaningfully to the world. We are rightfully proud of them and the generations of strong alumnae; they are anchored in the history of the school and committed to a dynamic vision of the future. Deeply engaged in life outside of Stoneleigh-Burnham’s campus and certain about their ability to impact the world for the better, the girls are living our mission!

You will find a wealth of information on our website, but I encourage you to come to campus and experience the energy for yourself. You will be impressed!
