The Stoneleigh-Burnham Community consists of a diverse and widespread Alumnae network. Here are the many ways to get involved with the community.
ALUMNAE BOARD
The Stoneleigh-Burnham School Alumnae Board promotes the interest and welfare of Stoneleigh-Burnham School and strives to bring the alumnae into contact with each other and with the School.
Stoneleigh-Burnham School is committed to inspire girls to pursue meaningful lives based on honor, respect and intellectual curiosity, to discover her best self and be secure in the knowledge that her voice will be heard and has produced a legacy of alumnae of the Elmhurst School, Stoneleigh School for Girls, Stoneleigh-Prospect Hill School, Capen School, Mary A. Burnham School and Stoneleigh-Burnham Schools. We, the alumnae, are the beneficiaries of the School and the stewards of this legacy. We join the School to foster and forge a lifelong exchange between the School and its alumnae, and thus duly constitute this Alumnae Board.

ADVISORY COUNCIL
The Advisory Council includes Alumnae, Parents, and Grandparents who have demonstrated leadership level giving and who volunteer to help the School meet its strategic goals. Members are invited by the Head of School.
Responsibilities (Group meets annually)
- Create new or renewed connections with fellow alumnae, parents, and outside organizations
- Stay informed about SBS and provide generative input and feedback
- Serve as leadership donors by making an annual pledge to donate $1,000 a year or more
- Time Commitment: one day a year with some correspondence between the School and members throughout the year.

BOARD OF TRUSTEES
The Stoneleigh-Burnham School Board of Trustees is a dedicated group of alumnae, parents, and friends of the School. The Board takes seriously its role as the governing body of Stoneleigh-Burnham School. Nurturing the mission is the Board’s most hallowed trust, and they must guarantee that all decisions consistently align with this work.
The members of the Board are not strangers to the community at Stoneleigh-Burnham School. Whenever they are on campus, they join the community at Housemeeting, they dine with students and faculty at formal dinners, and they attend the many outstanding productions, performances, and athletic competitions that occur throughout the year. The Board of Trustees meets regularly and is informed by the Alumnae Board, Head of School, and a dedicated team of school administrators.
We invite members of our community to engage with, and become a crucial part of, our extended family through various roles at SBS. If you are interested in joining our Board of Trustees, please contact Kathleen Tuck Fontaine ’83 at [email protected] to learn more.
ALUMNAE AMBASSADORS
Stoneleigh-Burnham School is committed to staying connected to its alumnae. The Alumnae Ambassador Program is designed to be one of the ways we do this.
This program enhances communication with our alumnae, provides valuable information about services, events and SBS happenings, and gives our alumnae a way to share their important life events like promotions, job shifts, family news and accolades. By having alumnae volunteer as Ambassadors, we establish a direct peer-to-peer method of communication. That communication provides for more meaningful and personalized outreach to our alumnae.
Alumnae Ambassadors serve as a vital part of the connection process acting as liaison between Stoneleigh-Burnham School, the Alumnae Board and our alumnae.
If you are interested in serving your class as an Ambassador or want more information, please contact Kathleen Tuck Fontaine ’83 at [email protected]
