The Stoneleigh-Burnham School Board of Trustees has engaged the services of Educators Collaborative (EC) to assist in the search for a Head of School to assume the position in July 2023. The EC Consultant partnering with SBS is Dr. Mary Seppala. Dr. Seppala had a lengthy tenure leading public, international, and US independent schools prior to joining EC in 2014 and has completed over 40 leadership searches throughout the US and abroad.

The Board has formed a seven-member Search Committee to begin immediate engagement with Dr. Seppala. Members of the Search Committee are as follows:

This Search Committee will engage in all aspects of the search and will be responsible for making a final recommendation to the Board of Trustees of a candidate who is best suited to lead SBS beginning in July 2023, once current Head of School Stephanie Luebbers has concluded her term.

Throughout the multi-phase search process there will be input sought from a wide variety of constituencies, including parents, faculty, staff, students, alumnae, and administration, in the form of surveys, focus groups, and on-site sessions. Periodic updates regarding the progression of the search will continue to be provided.
