Reunion Weekend 2026 Brings Generations Together in Celebration
June 29th, 2026

Stoneleigh-Burnham School welcomed alumnae back to campus last weekend for its annual Reunion, drawing together graduates from across the decades for a festive and memorable celebration of community, tradition, and shared history.
Milestone classes took center stage, with strong turnouts from the Classes of 1966 MAB and 2001 marking their special anniversaries. Alumnae spanning multiple generations gathered to reconnect, share stories, and renew the bonds that define the SBS community.
Luncheon Honors, Awards, and Leadership Transitions
Saturday's luncheon featured remarks from Bett Alter, who will begin as Interim Head of School on July 1, as well as Karleen Kaur '26 and Katie Troyanoski Clifford '99.
Several honors were presented during the luncheon:
- Liz Matthews '84 was inducted into the Stoneleigh-Burnham Athletic Hall of Fame.
- Judith Howard Whitney-Terry '56 MAB, P'77 received the Elinor Johnstone Ferdon MAB '54 Alumnae Leadership Award.
- Heather McDonald Whiteman '86 was recognized for her service as outgoing Alumnae Board president.
The event also marked a transition in Alumnae Board leadership. Katie Troyanoski Clifford '99 was named the new Alumnae Board president, with Piper Huggins Burrows '85 stepping in as vice president.
Distinguished Alumna Award
At Saturday evening's celebration dinner — emceed by Board of Trustees Chair Barbara Mayo Llewellyn '69 and Vice Chair Denise Bruner '70 — Annette van Duren '71 was presented with the 2026 Distinguished Alumna Award.
Fundraising Exceeds Expectations
The weekend's generosity was remarkable. The Reunion Silent Auction and Live Auction dinner together raised $43,000, and total gifts and pledges across the entire weekend reached $93,000 in support of the SBS Annual Fund and the Ride the WAV campaign.
A photo gallery from Reunion Weekend will be shared soon. Alumnae who were unable to attend will have the opportunity to enjoy highlights from the celebration.
Gifts to the Annual Fund and the Ride the WAV campaign are still being accepted through June 30.
