Rose Chaffee-Cohen
Science Department Chair

Rose comes to SBS with an educational background in Environmental Science and Science Education with a B.A. from Tufts University and an M.S from Antioch University New England. In the classroom, she believes in promoting inquiry and problem-solving, equity and inclusion, scientific literacy and relevance, and care of people and planet. Outside of the classroom, Rose is an avid outdoorswoman and can be found hiking, snowboarding, biking, and paddling in her spare time. She enjoys exploring nature and culture both locally and abroad; her travels have taken her to Scotland, Cuba, Bangladesh, Tanzania, Mexico, Israel, and more. As a Massachusetts native, Rose looks forward to exploring the nature and culture of Western Massachusetts with her husband Jake and their dog Coconut.
