Nina Li
Chinese Teacher

Nina Li joins the World Language Department as a Mandarin teacher. Nina is originally from Jilin, Northeast China. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in English at Beijing Jiaotong University in Beijing, and holds a Master’s degree in Teaching a Foreign Language and TESOL (teaching English to speakers of other languages) from New York University. Before joining SBS, she taught Mandarin and English at several schools in New York City. She has also served as a tour guide for the Bridgewater State University Study Abroad Program, introducing Chinese culture while showing BSU students around places like Forbidden City and Wangfujing. Nina is fluent in Mandarin and English and is familiar with Japanese, basic Spanish and French. She loves reading and traveling to “seek other places, other lives, other souls.”
