Meghan is a native New Englander who spent time on both coasts and abroad before graduating with her master’s in environmental studies with a science teaching certificate from Antioch University New England in 2014. She received her bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from Skidmore College in 2008. Before pursuing a career in teaching she worked for an organization working to improve stream flows for endangered salmon and at a ski school in eastern Washington and then for a non-profit organization in Vermont that works to improve transparency of the building materials market so that consumers can make informed choices that benefit the environment and human health. She gets very excited about learning in the field and has traveled to study natural and cultural ecology in Alaska, Australia, New Zealand, Cape Cod and the American Southwest. Meghan loves to hike and ski, and she has driven across the country four times with her trusty companion, a very personable feline named Sage, who allows Meghan to live with her at Stoneleigh-Burnham.
