The Physics course introduces students to the fundamental principles of physics in a hands-on laboratory setting. Emphasis is placed on determining or understanding the theories and laws about the physical world through the laboratory experience, as well as applying those theories and laws. Lab report writing and quantitative reasoning skills are stressed. Concepts are reinforced through class work, homework and a variety of hands-on activities. The historical development of physics will also be highlighted. A previous course in chemistry is recommended as is concurrent enrollment in Algebra 2.
