Faculty advisors are a major part of a girl’s support system here at Stoneleigh-Burnham. From helping girls decide which classes to take, to suggesting extracurricular activities and community service projects, faculty advisors play a key role in helping students define themselves and helping them map their route to success.
An advisor is also the point-person for parents. If a girl is facing any academic challenges along the way, her faculty adviser is there for her and will work together with the student, her parents, and the Director of the Academic Center to develop a plan to overcome challenges. Advisors get to know their students well, helping them work through the tough times and celebrating their accomplishments, too.
