On Sunday, Oct. 1, the Stoneleigh-Burnham Debate and Public Speaking Society will host a Public Speaking Tournament. Participants will have the opportunity to compete in Impromptu Speaking and Interpretive Reading, as well as in either After-Dinner or Persuasive Speaking.
First, second, and third places will be awarded in each of these categories with an overall tournament winner named.
Six members of the SBS Debate and Public Speaking Society will compete, along with competitors from nine other schools.
This tournament winner will receive a bid to compete in the World Individual Debating and Public Speaking Championship held in South Africa in the Spring of 2018.
