students codingThe entire Stoneleigh-Burnham School student community, along with many adults, participated in a registered international Hour of Code on Wednesday, December 9. Part of Computer Science Education Week, the Hour of Code is an introduction to computer science, designed to demystify code and show that anybody can learn the basics.

The event at SBS was organized by Andrea Tehan Carnes, STEAM coordinator and science teacher at SBS, and facilitated by a group of students who love coding: 8th graders Ellie Flynn and Marina Keator, 9th grader Sydney Wallace, 10th graders Nana Liu and Miles DeClue, 11th grader Phoebe Karkos, and 12th grader Charlotte Minsky.
