Intermediate English Language
This course mirrors literary analysis skills taught in mainstream English courses using texts at an appropriate reading level for learners with intermediate English proficiency. Students work to improve their academic English skills in listening, reading, writing, and speaking. A core focus of this course is reading and analyzing challenging literature, often supported by text and web-based research assignments. Students also become adept at communicating their ideas in writing and in oral and visual presentations to their class. This course prepares students for Advanced EL.
