BHS Application 2021-22

The British Horse Society (BHS) program at Stoneleigh-Burnham School (SBS) functions independently from the academic program at SBS. Students enrolled in the BHS program must adhere to all applicable School policies and procedures as outlined in the Community Handbook. This selective program accepts a limited number of students per year. The program begins in the fall. Due to the structure of the curriculum, no mid-year entries are permitted. As such, a rigorous application and admissions process is required. Applications are due by August 1, interviews must be completed by August 10, and candidates will be notified of their status by August 15.   • *Please note: At this time, the British Horse Society program is not available to international students who are not currently enrolled as a student at Stoneleigh-Burnham School. If you are an international student interested in pursuing the British Horse Society program you must simultaneously pursue admissions to Stoneleigh-Burnham School.
  • Please outline your equestrian experience including a detailed list of trainers with whom you've ridden, average number of hours you spend in the saddle and/or work in a stable setting (per week), competitive accomplishments, etc.
  • Please outline your non-equestrian experience including extracurricular activities, volunteerism, employment history (if applicable), etc.
  • Please submit a 1,000-word essay outlining your career ambitions and your interest in the British Horse Society program at Stoneleigh-Burnham School.
  • I understand that I must submit a short video that displays my riding abilities to with the subject line "BHS Application Video_mylastname" (ex: BHS Application Video_Torres).
