Stoneleigh-Burnham School Welcomes Esther S White
Stoneleigh-Burnham School’s 2019 Winter Art Exhibit will feature the artwork of Northampton artist Esther S White.
The exhibit, “Deal With It,” includes prints and work from her series, “Clothes that are too small or no longer needed.” Artists’ books in a variety of print media are on view, including the collaborative artist-publishing project 9X10: Artists’ Book and Zine Box Set.
Esther S White is a visual artist, curator, and art educator. Her artists’ books and prints reveal an experimental approach to materials and an interest in personal history. Esther’s recent work in novel photographic printmaking methods examine identity, invisible illness, the Internet, motherhood, and instant imagery. More can be found on her website.
The artist will present a gallery talk on Thursday, Jan. 10 at 7 p.m. The exhibit opens on Friday, Jan. 11, with a reception held that evening from 5:30-7 p.m. Both the gallery talk and reception are free and open to the public. The exhibition runs until Feb. 15.
