Stoneleigh-Burnham School’s fine and performing arts curriculum fosters individual creativity and a critical awareness of one’s cultural identity. Students participate in a rich and extensive arts curriculum, from beginning through advanced courses in Instrumental Performance, Studio Art, Vocal Music, Music Composition, Dance and Theatre, and may choose to focus on an independent study project while preparing a college portfolio. Juniors and seniors who elect to enroll in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program will choose from IB courses in dance, visual art and music.

Our arts faculty members are educators first, but established artists in their own right. Faculty in theater, visual art, dance and music consistently work to develop new and engaging ways for our students to showcase their creative pursuits – whether that be dance performances in New York City, submission to the Scholastic, Inc. Art & Writing Awards or song-writing competitions.
